I spent most of my day yesterday in the library (yes I am a library fanatic), hence the post on books. They inject so much colour into a room and add layers, and layers of interest. Whether they be sitting on a coffee table, perched on a shelf, on the floor, or in a colorcoded bookcase they are such a terrific decorating tool and I personally think you can tell a lot about people by the books they read......or just by how pretty they are! So tell me what is your favourite book?
Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Yay for library fanatics! I'm partial to essay collections like "Slouching Towards Bethlehem" by Joan Didion and "High Tide in Tucson" by Barbara Kingsolver.
I didn;t realise until I had a look, my favourites are "interiors" books. I don't have one fave - I couldn't possibly just choose one. I do love An Affair with a House - Bunny Williams, Island Beauty by India Hicks, My French Life by Vicki Archer, Ralph Lauren, the man, the vision the style, The French Chateau - Style & Tradition - oh I could go on. It is amazing I ever get anything done - I am always reading and flicking.
Great post.
I have looked through Shabby Chic Home so many times that it has detached from it's binding, the pages are falling apart and i have tear-outs of magazine articles about gorgeous white interior designs shoved inside.. I can lie down and flick through that book and get taken away to another place.. Not very intellectual i know haha
