I bought these delightful pale pink roses from Aldi today, and what a steal @ $5.00! Just goes to show that even in this recession we can still have some pretty blooms in our homes! Now, that absolutely gorgeous black and white stripe deco vase is my sisters. She bought it from the Old & Gold Festival in Brunswick Heads (which unfortunately I couldn't attend) from a very reluctant seller. I wish it were mine! Well at least she lets me borrow it...Is'nt that what sisters are for?

I forgot that was at your house!
Can I have it back please?
I thought you were being a nice sister? Tut tut
Gorgeous (both the vase and the flowers)...I have quite a few of my sister's stuff in my home too ;)
What a beautiful arrangement!
wow, how funny Aldi is even conquering Australia! this German discounter is one of the best profiting companies in the world - especially in hard times like these. Unfortunately most discounters sell flowers from countries who produce them in horrible conditions: workers are treated like slaves and tons of pesticides and herbicides. Most of those pretty roses usually come from Columbia in South America where workers suffer and die from cancer like others from cold or akne.I read in a German magazine, that you must not place those flowers near food as they evaporate... whatever... some unhealthy chemicals. Sorry, I didn't critisize your really lovely decoration but I used to love those "perfect" and affordable roses myself and it was hard to learn the truth about cheap flowers so I just pass the information to you and your readers. And I still love your pretty blog!
Wow! Thanks Eliane. Note to self: Don't buy Aldi flowers no matter how pretty! That is just terrible and no I won't be buying them anymore! Readers Take note!!
