Well today I thought I would show you my multi-talented sisters house which is situated in the beautiful Tallebudgera Valley in QLD. The property is now listed for sale and sits on 1 1/2 acres of land and has a pool and five bedrooms. Click here for more photos and details.

As you can tell from the photos my sis is quite the guru in all aspects of home life. Whether it is sewing, baking, thrifting, crafting or restoring furniture. In our circle of friends we call her the "Queen Bee" and you can always find her in either/or the following places:
  • Spotlight Fabric Store (buying up a plethora of random shite/usually stuff she doesn't need but it has to be pretty to look at then she puts it away in the closet for "later"!)
  • The Tender Centre
    EBay
Sewing her Bits & Bubs children's clothing line which you can buy here
Blogging and working on her computer

Talented lady - I am just so jealous I can't sew like her if at all!!!!

Ladies Luncheon + Fresh Roses

Tomorrow I am having a few of my good, girly friends & their children over for lunch so I thought I would pop out and buy some beautiful flowers. One of the reasons why I love living in a little community is the fresh roses that are delivered straight from the rose farm to the local fruit shop! And what a price @ $9.00 for a bunch of ten! If I had known these puppies where around at the time of my wedding I would've saved hundreds and hundreds of $$$ and made my own rose bouquets by simply wrapping a little twine or ribbon around them - Simple yet beautiful!
Oh and I thought whilst I am blogging about flowers I should show you a picture of the lovely bunch of Tigerlilly's my husband sent me for our wedding anniversary (you know the one he forgot?)......
Oh and stay tuned for tomorrows post as I will be posting about my sisters house that she has put on the market!

Kate Hudson Love

Don't you just love Kate Hudson??? Well I certainly do and I also adore her mother, the glowing & golden Goldie Hawn (Overboard is one of my all time favourite movies).....Anywho this girl has got everything (except boobs and she can still pull that off!) Look at her fantabulous house. Her style is everything I thought it would be: A little bit hippy -gypsy/glam/boho! F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!
Lets not even mention the serious case of ass envy I am sporting or get me started on their gene pool. Have you seen her brother? Three Words: OLIVER HUDSON HOT!

DIY Craft Day

OK I nearly died as soon as I saw this DIY chalkboard (above) over at Full House. Isn't it just the most beautiful thing you have ever seen? Needless to say I am searching ruthlessly for a mirror just exactly the same as this one to make! I have however already completed a small one to go in Yasmin's room as you can see above.

I also got the old hot glue gun out yesterday and started making these easy yet effective button hair clips......I have a slight obsession with buttons/yo yo's and the hot glue gun. (Note to self: Don't turn out like the lady from Oprah who hot glue guns her house/life).... Anyway these are a cheap yet effective way to decorate your toddlers hair. Today my little daughter Yasmin is debuting in my blog - yes the small child you see above with a hair colour that rivals Jennifer Annistons, and why is it that no amount of colouring will get mine like that? Mind you she was being a right royal little princess about taking the photo's and didn't want to co-operate, all she wanted to do was draw on the chalkboard! Toddlers ehhhh?????

Still obsessing over children's bedrooms

Forgive me if my post today is a little off, as currently I am a little high on antihistamine as I have been sipping on a bottle of my daughters phenergan!!! . I have had an allergic reaction to some face medication and look like Vincent from Beauty & The Beast! Has anyone seen that movie "Hitch" where Will Smith is sipping benadryl through a straw in the grocer, looking at his reflection and saying "come on!", well welcome to my face-bloat world........
Today I am still obsessing over kids bedrooms.........above are a few pictures that I have had filed away for a while for inspiration for my daughters bedroom. I am just loving twin beds in little girls rooms......now I need to have another daughter so they can sleep in the same bedroom together, awwww how sweet!

Princess & The Pea

I just love what Jenn from Minor Details has done with this room....How pretty is it? The theme is the Princess & The Pea. How cute are the many thin mattresses? Bet the princess could still find the pea though! Currently I am obsessing over kids rooms at the moment as I am still yet to finish Yasmin's room......oh well one day it will be done! Check out my blogroll for fantabulous kids sites and blogs for a plethora of ideas (maybe this is why I can't get narrow my decision down and get Yas's room done!).....

Today is my 5th Wedding Anniversary

Funny Story: Today is my 5th Wedding Anniversary! Doesn't the time fly? Today I received from my dear, darling husband a HUGE bunch of white tigerlilys - my absolute favourite flower and they smell so good too! He really does know me so well.......there was not a carnation or baby's breath in sight, however - the down side; he did actually forget that it was our wedding anniversary for the SECOND time in a row.......and the flowers did come after he found his anniversary present in his car this morning - what is it with men???? I mean I am by no means an Oprah man basher but alas 2 times!!! You would think he would at least pencil it in his diary for future reference....On the brighter side maybe this just means that I will receive my disproportionate Tiffany celebration ring sooner rather than later..Lets just hope......

Aching. Thighs.

Part of my "Wifestyle" is to go to the gym and today I did for the first time a 'Legs Eleven' class........never, ever, ever again (I can barely move and this is just straight after the class- Imagine how I am going to feel tomorrow!!) I will of course continue with the class only on the proviso if my pins start to resemble something like Nadja Auermanns above.........if only...*sigh*

K Mart Hotties

Okay......I just had to post about these awesome suede kneehigh boots that my little sister Emma just put on layby at K Mart...Love, Love, Love Them, and the price - $40 bucks on sale!......I am pretty sure that they are supposed to be thigh high boots, however because we are all 6 foot giants in our family they only come to our knees! I won't be buying these because I managed to squeeze my size 10 foot into them.......so this means now all I have to do is borrow them off my litttle sister....pretty please Emmie?????

Bric-a-Brac Hunting Part 2......

Well last post I was off to Byron & surrounds for a spot of Bric-a-Brac hunting, however this trip I got sidetracked and bought clothes instead.......(rare) So I thought I would post pictures of my treasures I bought last fossicking trip....
1st photo: I picked up some prints/cards for my daughters bedroom that I am doing up for her (more about that next posts). I got these from an art Gallery in Byron. I just love the little girl blindfolded dancing in the wind! And the other is of the 'Pegapuss". They are so pretty so these are going to go up on Yasmin's photo wall - when I get round2it. The other 'Love' print is a card that I ordered online from http://www.madebygirl.com/. Black & white photo is of 'moi' pregnant in all of my triple chin glory with Yasmin (Note: There are only approx 2 photos of me in circulation whilst pregnant as I put on 30 kilos and looked like Dead, bloated road kill. Seriously, no exaggeration here....(click on pic for closer look - of the prints not my chins)

2nd photo is of my beloved Vintage Avon Coral Jar. I got this from the most fantastic store in Byron Industrial estate - forgive me I have forgotten the name! Every time I go there I nearly wet my pants and feel so overwhelmed, there is just so much stuff dating from 1950's to 1990's...an absolute treasure trove....

3rd Photo is my bowl I got from Glam Emporium: Eclectic Homewares & Furnishings. My mom and I nearly had fisticuffs over this bowl - needless to say I won.......hehe
